Heartgroups are small groups that meet regularly to build friendships, study God’s Word, pray together, and support each other. No matter your age or stage of life, there’s a group for you. This is where real community happens.

You were never meant to follow Jesus alone.

In Acts 2:42–47, we see the early church thriving as believers devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, prayer, and generous care for one another. They gathered in homes, shared meals with glad hearts, and worshiped God in unity. The result? God added to their number daily.

At Heartland, we believe this picture of biblical community still matters today—but it doesn’t
happen by accident.

In a busy, disconnected world, true community must be forged. It takes intention, commitment,
and the willingness to show up. That’s why we have Heartgroups: small groups that meet
regularly in homes across our community.

Connection & Discipleship

And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Heartgroups are the primary way to get connected and be discipled at Heartland Church. In these smaller circles, church becomes family. Together, we:

Fellowship – build authentic relationships and share life together

Study – grow in understanding God’s Word and apply it to everyday life

Pray – support each other through intercession and thanksgiving

Care – walk alongside each other in both joy and hardship

Everything we do—from Sunday services to special events, age-based ministries to discipleship classes—is designed to move people toward the life-giving rhythm of Heartgroup community.

What does a HeartGroup look like?

A HeartGroup consists of 8-12 people who meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to study and discuss the Bible, pray with one another, and simply live life together.

What is the purpose of a heartgroup?

Heartland Church believes in HeartGroups because we want to see Jesus’ name be made known great all across Winter Haven, Central Florida and our world. A HeartGroup is part of the catalyst, partnering with the church, to accomplish the mission of Jesus … to make disciples (Matt. 28:18-20).

How do I get involved in a heartgroup?
