Relevant Teaching
Kids: infant – preschool
Smallville takes place during our 9:30am and 11:00am weekend services and is for babies through Preschool. Each week, kids experience age-appropriate Bible teaching in a fun, loving, and exciting environment. In Smallville, we work hard to provide a fun and safe environment that is “kid tested and mother approved”! Within Smallville we have three different age environments for your child: Birth-24 months, 2-3 year olds, and 4 years-PreK.
KIDS: Kindergarten – 5th grade
BACKSTAGE is designed for children in grades Kindergarten through Fifth. These kids enjoy an action packed service that incorporates a large group atmosphere where relationship building, team competition, and small group application takes place. During the large group portion of the service, the children are taught an application-based Bible story, watch a drama/skit that brings to life the Main Point for the day, sing songs, and play lesson-oriented games. All of this occurs in an action-packed hour that’s sure to have your kids excited to return each week! Within Backstage, we have two different age environments for your kids: Kindergarten-2nd grade and 3rd grade-5th grade. Backstage takes place during our 9:30am and 11:00am weekend services.
Common Questions
What is a typical service like?
Heartland worship services are exciting, passionate and engaging expressions of our love and devotion to our Lord and Savior. Our true desire is to see people realize that worship is more than a song. It’s a lifestyle … 24/7!!
How long does a service usually last?
Our services typically last around 60 minutes.
Where should I park?
There are dedicated lots on both the North and South side of the building, as well as numerous street parking spots and a parking garage one block South of the church. There is plenty of available parking, so come on.
Will I be singled out as a guest?
No. If you are a guest at Heartland, you are not obligated to give or do anything you are not comfortable with. We will not ask you to raise your hand or stand up, we just ask that our guests fill out a Connection Card, so we can assist you in your visit to Heartland, pray for you, and provide any additional information you might wish to receive.
Do you have anything for students?
Yes, we do. Heartland has multiple opportunities for students 6th grade through 12th grade! All High School students are invited to join us on Sunday nights at 6:00 and Middle School students on Wednesday nights at 6:00.
What should i wear?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. People wear everything from business casual to shorts and t-shirts in the summer.
Are there differences between your services?
All the services at Heartland offer the same high-energy worship style and solid theological teaching. The service is designed to equip and inspire you to live life the way God designed for it to be lived.
Affiliation?
Heartland Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest protestant denomination in the United States.
