Heartland Church Missions

At Heartland Church, missions are more than a program, it's part of who we are. We partner locally and globally to share the love of Jesus, meet real needs, and bring hope to the world. Every act of service, every prayer, and every step of faith is part of the mission.

Called to Reach the World

At Heartland Church, we believe that every follower of Jesus is called to be "on-mission" each and every day. This means living a life that shares the love and hope of the Gospel with our neighbors and the nations. Our heart for missions flows from our purpose: to Love Jesus, Love Each Other, and Love Our World. Whether serving in our own community or supporting efforts across the globe, we are committed to making disciples and sharing the message of Jesus Christ with those who have not yet heard.

Jesus commanded us in Matthew 28:19-20 to "go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." This Great Commission is not just a call to missionaries, but to every believer, to live on mission with urgency and intentionality.

Living On Mission: Local, National, and Global Impact

We support and partner with individuals and organizations making a difference in our city, across the country, and in communities across the globe. Each effort is part of our commitment to share the love of Jesus and make disciples wherever God leads.

Local Missions

We actively serve throughout Polk County and Central Florida, partnering with local ministries and the Ridge Baptist Association to meet practical needs and share the Gospel. Our efforts include food distribution, school partnerships, neighborhood outreach, and care for the vulnerable in our community.

National Missions

Across the United States, we partner with church planters and compassion ministries through trusted networks like Send Relief and other mission partners. We support disaster response, urban outreach, and church planting efforts in areas of great need.

Global Missions

Around the world, we support international missions efforts, focusing especially on reaching unreached people groups. Through mission trips, financial giving, and long-term partnerships, we help take the Gospel to places where Jesus is not yet known.

Ricky & PJ Holder

Sub-Saharan Africa

The Holder family serves in Sub-Saharan Africa among unreached people groups. Their ministry includes language learning, relationship-building, and discipleship through local church development.

Lauren Chaney

Eastern Europe

Lauren is serving in Eastern Europe, reaching young adults and university students through discipleship, outreach, and gospel conversations in a region that is spiritually open but often overlooked.

God invites every believer to play a part in His work. You can make an impact through prayer, giving, and going. No matter your stage of life or experience, there’s a way for you to step in and help bring the hope of Jesus to others.

You don’t have to travel far to be on mission—your daily life is your mission field. But if God is stirring your heart to do more, we invite you to:

Pray

Regularly lift up our missionaries, mission partners, and the unreached in prayer.

Give

Support missions financially through designated gifts that directly fund our outreach efforts.

Participate in local service projects, regional outreach, or join a short-term mission trip.

“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?” Romans 10:13-15
